INNOVATIONS DEFENSE SYSTEM OF EXCELLENCE (iDEX).
✓Government launched the Innovations for Defense Excellence (iDEX) framework to promote innovation and technological development in the defence and aerospace sector by engaging industries including SMEs, start-ups, individual innovators, R&D institutes and universities to drive self-realization. - addiction .
✓ As of February 28, 2023, 139 iDEX winners have received scholarships/funds. After successful trials, the services made delivery orders for three iDEX winners.
✓Furthermore, the Ministry granted an AoN (Acceptance of Necessity) license to another 13 iDEX products.
✓iDEX offers iDEX winners a technical handle through 19 partner incubators, easier and faster access to testing facilities/infrastructure available with various government agencies, co-creation and co-innovation with smooth operation and minimal documentation. the whole system is in their favor.
✓iDEX has challenged cutting edge technologies/domains like Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality (AR)/Virtual Reality (VR), Autonomous/Unmanned Solutions, Stealth Domain Awareness, Secure Communications, Simulation, Navigation, Predictive Maintenance, Space, Cyber Security etc. to ensure technological advantage of services over their opponents.
